Members of the public who, after spending some time within the installation, wish to read; or those responding to calls for replacement readers when invited readers do not arrive on time or cancel will be directed by the Control Staff and the Public Address System to proceed to this station in order to receive a reading position within the Master-Protocol.

This registration in the Master-Protocol may be up to the last minute or some time shortly before the reading time will begin.

The Voluntary Reader Registration Clerk at this station calls the Control Center by telephone to know when a position in the Protocol is free and then informs the Protocolists as to who will take that position.

The Voluntary Reader will be either sent to the Arena Administrator immediately or will be told to wait until he or she is called by the Public Address Announcer within the Administration Hall.
